गैर-मुस्लिम शरणार्थियों को मिलेगी नागरिकता: मोदी सरकार ने CAA लागू किया
नई दिल्ली: मंत्रालय के सूत्रों के हवाले से यह खबर सामने आई है कि लोकसभा चुनाव से पहले मोदी सरकार ने नागरिकता संशोधन अधिनियम (CAA) के नियमों को नोटिफाई करने का निर्णय लिया है। इसके तहत देश में रह रहे गैर-मुस्लिम शरणार्थियों को भारतीय नागरिकता दी जाएगी।
“गृह मंत्रालय (MHA) आज, नागरिकता (संशोधन) अधिनियम, 2019 (CAA-2019) के तहत नियमों को अधिसूचित करेगा। इन नियमों, जिन्हें नागरिकता (संशोधन) नियम, 2024 कहा जाएगा, CAA-2019 के तहत पात्र व्यक्तियों को भारतीय नागरिकता प्रदान करने के लिए आवेदन करने में सक्षम बनाएंगे। आवेदन पूरी तरह से ऑनलाइन मोड में होंगे, जिसके लिए एक वेब पोर्टल उपलब्ध कराया गया है,” मंत्रालय के प्रवक्ता ने कहा।
यह निर्णय अमित शाह ने लोकसभा चुनाव से पहले CAA को लागू करने की घोषणा की थी। इसके बाद से ही CAA के नियमों के बारे में चर्चा जोर पकड़ गई थी।
CAA के तहत सरकार बांग्लादेश, पाकिस्तान और अफगानिस्तान से आए गैर-मुस्लिम प्रताड़ित शरणार्थियों (हिंदू, सिख, जैन, बौद्ध, पारसी और ईसाई) को भारतीय नागरिकता प्रदान करेगी। ये शरणार्थी 31 दिसंबर, 2014 तक भारत आ चुके हैं।
सूत्रों के हवाले से लोकसभा चुनाव से पहले सरकार ने CAA के नियमों को अधिसूचित करने की जानकारी दी है। बताया जा रहा है कि आवेदन करने वाले लोगों को वह साल बताना होगा, जब वो बिना आवश्यक दस्तावेजों के भारत आए थे।
