नई दिल्ली: कोलकाता में एक प्रशिक्षु डॉक्टर के साथ भयावह बलात्कार और हत्या के विरोध में एम्स और सफदरजंग सहित शहर के कई अस्पतालों ने हड़ताल जारी रखी। एम्स, वीएमएमसी, सफदरजंग अस्पताल, राम मनोहर लोहिया और इंदिरा गांधी अस्पताल के रेजिडेंट डॉक्टर एसोसिएशन (आरडीए) ने लगातार तीसरे दिन अपनी हड़ताल जारी रखी है, जिससे आउट पेशेंट विभाग (ओपीडी), ऑपरेशन थिएटर (ओटी) और वार्ड बंद हो गए हैं।
विभिन्न राज्यों और राष्ट्रीय महत्व के संस्थानों के आरडीए के साथ परामर्श के बाद फेडरेशन ऑफ ऑल इंडिया मेडिकल एसोसिएशन (एफएआईएमए) ने चल रही हड़ताल को अपना समर्थन देने का वादा किया है। FAIMA ने नृशंस हत्या की निंदा की है और घोषणा की है कि न्याय मिलने तक हड़ताल जारी रहेगी।
इसके विपरीत, फेडरेशन ऑफ रेजिडेंट डॉक्टर्स एसोसिएशन (FORDA) ने केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्री जे.पी.नड्डा के साथ बैठक के बाद अपनी हड़ताल समाप्त कर दी है। सामान्य परिचालन फिर से शुरू करने का निर्णय रोगी कल्याण को ध्यान में रखते हुए किया गया था। बैठक के दौरान, स्वास्थ्य मंत्री ने केंद्रीय सुरक्षा अधिनियम पर काम करने के लिए FORDA को शामिल करते हुए एक समिति बनाने पर सहमति व्यक्त की, साथ ही मंत्रालय ने अगले 15 दिनों के भीतर इस प्रक्रिया को शुरू करने का वादा किया।
गुरु तेग बहादुर अस्पताल और मौलाना आज़ाद मेडिकल कॉलेज के डॉक्टरों ने भी अपनी ड्यूटी फिर से शुरू कर दी है। जिस दुखद घटना के कारण विरोध प्रदर्शन शुरू हुआ, उसमें कोलकाता के आरजी कर मेडिकल कॉलेज में 32 वर्षीय स्नातकोत्तर प्रशिक्षु डॉक्टर के साथ बलात्कार और हत्या शामिल थी। 8 अगस्त की रात को एक सेमिनार हॉल में उसका अर्धनग्न शरीर पाया गया, जिससे व्यापक आक्रोश फैल गया और चिकित्सा पेशेवरों के लिए सुरक्षा उपायों में वृद्धि की मांग की गई।
