हाथरस भगदड़: राजनीतिक संबंधों के आरोपी गिरफ्तार; राहुल गांधी ने पीड़ितों के परिवारों से मुलाकात की, मुआवज़ा बढ़ाने की मांग की
नई दिल्ली: उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार ने हाथरस भगदड़ की त्रासदी की जांच तेज कर दी है, जिसमें 121 लोगों की जान चली गई थी। इस घटना के मुख्य आरोपी, देवप्रकाश मधुकर को शुक्रवार रात दिल्ली के नजफगढ़ से गिरफ्तार किया गया। मधुकर के साथ दो अन्य व्यक्तियों, राम प्रकाश शाक्य और संजू यादव को शनिवार को गिरफ्तार किया गया, जिससे इस मामले में अब तक कुल नौ गिरफ्तारियां हो चुकी हैं।
42 वर्षीय मधुकर पर बिना आवश्यक प्रक्रियाओं का पालन किए आयोजन करने और अवैध रूप से चंदा इकट्ठा करने का आरोप है। पुलिस के अनुसार, मधुकर सुरज पाल के करीबी सहयोगी थे, जो भोल बाबा के नाम से जाने जाते हैं और जिनके कार्यक्रम में यह त्रासदी हुई। मधुकर ने विभिन्न कस्बों और गांवों में भोल बाबा के लिए समर्थन जुटाने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई थी।
भगदड़ तब हुई जब भोल बाबा के भक्तों की भारी भीड़ उनके पैरों के पास मिट्टी इकट्ठा करने के लिए दौड़ पड़ी, जिससे 80,000 की निर्धारित सीमा से अधिक लोग एकत्रित हो गए। इससे अराजकता और जानमाल का नुकसान हुआ। प्रारंभिक जांच में पता चला है कि मधुकर और उनकी टीम ने स्थिति को ठीक से संभाला नहीं, जिससे यह हादसा हुआ।
मधुकर, शाक्य, और यादव के अलावा, गुरुवार को छह अन्य व्यक्तियों, जिनमें दो महिलाएं शामिल हैं, को भी गिरफ्तार किया गया। पुलिस ने सुरज पाल की गतिविधियों के वित्तपोषण के स्रोत और राजनीतिक दलों से संभावित संबंधों की गहन जांच शुरू की है।
शनिवार को एक प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस में, पुलिस अधीक्षक निपुण अग्रवाल ने कहा, “आरोपी देव प्रकाश मधुकर का लंबे समय से सत्संग आयोजित करने वाले संगठन से संबंध था और वह धन जुटाने में शामिल थे। पूछताछ के दौरान यह पता चला कि मधुकर ने कुछ राजनीतिक दलों से संपर्क किया था।”
इस बीच, प्रमुख राजनीतिक हस्तियां इस त्रासदी के बाद सक्रिय हो गई हैं। राहुल गांधी ने पीड़ितों के परिवारों से मुलाकात की और उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री से मुआवज़ा बढ़ाने की मांग की। कांग्रेस नेता अजय राय, अविनाश पांडे और सुप्रिया श्रीनेत के साथ गांधी ने न्याय और प्रभावित परिवारों के लिए उचित समर्थन की आवश्यकता पर जोर दिया।
