नई दिल्ली: ‘वन नेशन, वन इलेक्शन’ (One Nation One Election) को लेकर पूर्व राष्ट्रपति रामनाथ कोविंद की अध्यक्षता वाली कमेटी ने राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू को अपनी रिपोर्ट सौंप दी. पूर्व राष्ट्रपति की अध्यक्षता वाली कमेटी ने 14 मार्च को 18,626 पन्नों की अपनी रिपोर्ट सौंपी. 191 दिनों की रिसर्च के बाद यह रिपोर्ट तैयार की गई है.

रिपोर्ट्स के मुताबिक कोविंद कमेटी की तरफ से साल 2029 में एक साथ चुनाव कराने की सिफारिश की गई है. इसके लिए संविधान के अंतिम पांच अनुच्छेदों में संशोधन की सिफारिश की है. इसमें लोकसभा, विधानसभा और लोकल लेवल चुनाव के लिए एक मतदाता सूची रखने की बात भी सामने आई है. वहीं, एक चुनाव के लिए संविधान में संशोधन की सिफारिश की भी संभावना है.

कमेटी की रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक पहले चरण में लोकसभा और विधानसभाओं के चुनाव एक साथ कराए जा सकते हैं. वहीं दूसरे चरण में 100 दिन के अंदर स्थानीय निकायों के चुनाव कराए जा सकते हैं. रिपोर्ट में ये भी बताया गया है कि वन नेशन वन इलेक्शन पर 47 राजनीतिक दलों ने कमेटी को अपनी राय दी. इसमें से 32 ने पक्ष में, जबकि 15 विपक्ष में मत रखा है.

कमेटी में 8 मेंबर शामिल केन्द्र सरकार ने बीते 2 सितंबर को ‘वन नेशन, वन इलेक्शन’ के लिए कमीशन का गठन किया था. इस 8 सदस्यीय कमेटी की अध्यक्षता पूर्व राष्ट्रपति रामनाथ कोविंद कर रहे हैं. कमीशन में गृह मंत्री अमित शाह के अलावा गुलाब नबी आजाद, फाइनेंस कमीशन के पूर्व चेयरमैन एनके सिंह, लोकसभा के पूर्व सेक्रेटरी जनरल सुभाष कश्यप, सीनियर एडवोकेट हरीश साल्वे और पूर्व चीफ विजिलेंस कमिश्नर संजय कोठारी भी शामिल हैं. केंद्रीय कानून मंत्री अर्जुन राम मेघवाल कमेटी के स्पेशल मेंबर बनाए गए हैं.
