फोनपे ने श्रीलंका में UPI पेमेंट को बढ़ावा देने के लिए लंकापे के साथ साझेदारी की
नई दिल्ली: दुनिया भर में डिजिटल पेमेंट का अभियान तेजी से बढ़ रहा है और इसी बारीकी में फोनपे ने श्रीलंका में UPI पेमेंट को बढ़ावा देने के लिए लंकापे के साथ साझेदारी की घोषणा की है। इस साझेदारी की घोषणा के बाद, श्रीलंका में अब लंकाQR मर्चेंट पॉइंट पर यूपीआई पेमेंट की सुविधा उपलब्ध होगी।
फोनपे और लंकापे ने मिलकर श्रीलंका और भारत सरकार के बड़े अधिकारियों को एक कार्यक्रम में आमंत्रित किया, जिसमें श्रीलंका के मर्चेंट्स के लिए यूपीआई पेमेंट की सुविधा को लेकर चर्चा की गई। इस महत्वपूर्ण कदम के साथ, श्रीलंका के मर्चेंट्स को अब भारतीय पर्यटकों की भी किसी भी प्रकार की दिक्कत के बिना पेमेंट करने की सुविधा मिलेगी।
इस साझेदारी के दौरान, श्रीलंका के वित्तीय क्षेत्र के कई मुख्य स्टेकहोल्डर भी आए, जो इस क्रांतिकारी परिवर्तन को समर्थन देते हैं। यह साझेदारी निश्चित रूप से भारतीय पर्यटकों और बिजनेस यात्रियों के लिए एक बड़ा सौभाग्य साबित होगा।
फोनपे के इंटरनेशनल पेमेंट के CEO रितेश पई ने बताया कि इस साझेदारी से भारतीय पर्यटकों को श्रीलंका में एक सुरक्षित और परिचित पेमेंट माध्यम का लाभ मिलेगा। लंकापे के CEO चन्ना डी सिल्वा ने भी इस साझेदारी की स्वागत की और इसे भारत-श्रीलंका के बीच मजबूत आर्थिक संबंध बढ़ाने का माध्यम बताया।
इसके अलावा, श्रीलंका में भारत के हाई कमिशनर श्री संतोष झा ने यह साझेदारी को एक बड़ी कदम बताया और दोनों देशों के बीच डिजिटल साझेदारी के लिए यूपीआई को लॉन्च करने की पहल की सराहना की।
इस साझेदारी से श्रीलंका के मर्चेंट्स को नए अवसर मिलेंगे और उनके बिजनेस को बढ़ाने में मदद मिलेगी। भारतीय पर्यटकों को भी यह सुविधा मिलेगी कि वे अब श्रीलंका में बिना किसी चिंता के पेमेंट कर सकें।
