नई दिल्ली: एक महत्वपूर्ण समर्थन में, प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने जाति जनगणना पर पूर्व केंद्रीय मंत्री अनुराग ठाकुर के लोकसभा भाषण की प्रशंसा की, और विपक्षी भारतीय गुट को प्रभावी ढंग से उजागर करने के लिए उनकी सराहना की। पीएम मोदी ने ‘X’ पर ठाकुर के संबोधन को “तथ्यों और हास्य के मिश्रण की सराहना करते हुए अवश्य सुनना चाहिए” बताया। उन्होंने विपक्ष की ठाकुर की आलोचना पर प्रकाश डाला, इसे गंदी राजनीति को संबोधित करने का एक आदर्श उदाहरण बताया।

कांग्रेस के पूर्व प्रमुख राहुल गांधी ने ठाकुर के आक्षेपों पर तीखी प्रतिक्रिया व्यक्त करते हुए उन पर उनका अपमान करने का आरोप लगाया। गांधी ने 2024 के आम चुनावों के लिए कांग्रेस के एक प्रमुख चुनावी वादे, राष्ट्रव्यापी जाति जनगणना के प्रति अपनी प्रतिबद्धता की पुष्टि की। उन्होंने उन हमलों के खिलाफ लचीलापन व्यक्त किया, जिन्हें वे हमलों के रूप में देखते थे, उन्होंने कहा, “जो कोई भी आदिवासी, दलित और पिछड़ों के मुद्दों को उठाता है, उसके साथ दुर्व्यवहार किया जाता है। मैं इन दुर्व्यवहारों को खुशी से स्वीकार करूंगा।”
