पश्चिम बंगाल में ट्रेन दुर्घटना: 9 मृत, 50 घायल, कंचनजंगा एक्सप्रेस और मालगाड़ी की टक्कर
नई दिल्ली: पश्चिम बंगाल के दार्जिलिंग जिले में हुई एक भयानक ट्रेन दुर्घटना में नौ लोगों की मौत हो गई है, जिसमें तीन रेलवे कर्मचारी भी शामिल हैं, और लगभग 50 अन्य घायल हो गए हैं। यह घटना आज सुबह तब हुई जब कंचनजंगा एक्सप्रेस, जो त्रिपुरा के अगरतला से कोलकाता के सियालदह की ओर जा रही थी, को न्यू जलपाईगुड़ी के पास रंगापानी स्टेशन के नजदीक एक मालगाड़ी ने पीछे से टक्कर मार दी। टक्कर से कंचनजंगा एक्सप्रेस की तीन बोगियां पटरी से उतर गईं।
इस दुर्घटना में हताहतों की संख्या कम होने का एक कारण ट्रेन का रचना थी। पीछे का हिस्सा, जिसने टक्कर का सबसे ज्यादा प्रभाव सहा, में पार्सल कोच और गार्ड का कोच था, जबकि यात्री डिब्बे आगे थे, जिन्हें कम नुकसान हुआ।
रेलवे बोर्ड की अध्यक्ष जया वर्मा सिन्हा ने मीडिया को बताया कि दुर्घटना सुबह लगभग 9 बजे हुई। उन्होंने पुष्टि की कि बचाव कार्य पूरे हो चुके हैं और घायलों को उत्तरी बंगाल मेडिकल कॉलेज में इलाज के लिए ले जाया गया है। “घायलों को सबसे अच्छा संभव इलाज दिया जा रहा है,” सिन्हा ने कहा।
कंचनजंगा एक्सप्रेस का अगला हिस्सा, जो टक्कर से अप्रभावित रहा, जल्द ही अपनी यात्रा फिर से शुरू करेगा ताकि यात्री अपने गंतव्य तक पहुंच सकें।
पश्चिम बंगाल की मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी ने इस घटना पर अपनी हैरानी और चिंता व्यक्त करते हुए कहा, “दार्जिलिंग जिले के फांसीदेवा क्षेत्र में हुई इस दुखद ट्रेन दुर्घटना के बारे में जानकर मुझे गहरा सदमा लगा है। जबकि विवरण अभी भी आ रहे हैं, रिपोर्ट के अनुसार कंचनजंगा एक्सप्रेस को एक मालगाड़ी ने टक्कर मारी है। आपदा प्रतिक्रिया दल, डॉक्टर, एम्बुलेंस और वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों को बचाव और पुनर्प्राप्ति कार्यों के लिए साइट पर भेज दिया गया है।”
