गोरखपुर : उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने रविवार को कहा कि शहरी विकास आज की आवश्यकता है और भारत को दुनिया की आर्थिक महाशक्ति बनाने में इसकी महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका होगी। शारदीय नवरात्र के पहले दिन रविवार को मुख्यमंत्री ने अपने गृह जिले गोरखपुर में 233.20 करोड़ रुपये लागत की 303 विकास परियोजनाओं का शिलान्यास एवं लोकार्पण किया। एक आधिकारिक बयान के अनुसार, यहां नगर निगम परिसर में आयोजित समारोह में मुख्यमंत्री ने 189 विकास कार्यों का शिलान्यास और 114 विकास कार्यों का लोकार्पण किया। समारोह को संबोधित करते हुए योगी ने कहा, नगरीय विकास आज की आवश्यकता है। भारत को दुनिया की आर्थिक महाशक्ति बनाने में नगरीय विकास की महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका होगी। इससे लोगों को शासन की योजनाओं का लाभ तो मिलेगा ही, बड़े पैमाने पर रोजगार सृजन की संभावना भी बढ़ेगी। बयान में कहा गया कि इस दौरान योगी के समक्ष नगर निगम एवं नेशनल थर्मल पॉवर कॉरपोरेशन (एनटीपीसी) के बीच कूड़े से चारकोल बनाने का संयंत्र स्थापित करने के लिए समझौता ज्ञापन (एमओयू) का आदान-प्रदान भी हुआ। योगी ने कहा, स्मार्ट सिटी की परिकल्पना को साकार करने के लिए सॉलिड वेस्ट मैनेजमेंट की महती भूमिका है। गोरखपुर नगर निगम ने एनटीपीसी के सहयोग से इस दिशा में बड़ा कदम बढ़ाया है। एनटीपीसी की तरफ से संयंत्र लगाए जाने के बाद नगर निकायों का कूड़ा चारकोल के रूप में बिजली उत्पादन का साधन बनेगा। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा, नगरीय विकास के क्षेत्र में अनियोजित और अवैज्ञानिक विकास की सोच ने बड़ी समस्या खड़ी कर दी थी। जगह-जगह कूड़े का पहाड़ दिखता था। प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी द्वारा शुरू किए गए स्वच्छ भारत अभियान ने इस समस्या के निदान में व्यापक और सकारात्मक परिवर्तन किया है। योगी ने कहा कि इसी कड़ी में गोरखपुर नगर निगम ने नगरीय जीवन को स्वच्छ और सुंदर बनाने के साथ आधुनिक तकनीक से वेस्ट (कचरे) को वेल्थ (संपत्ति) बनाने की पहल की है। उन्होंने कहा कि ठोस कचरे का उचित प्रबंधन न होने से कूड़ा ऐसे ही यहां-वहां फेंक दिया जाता था और शहर में प्रवेश करने पर कूड़े के ढेर के दर्शन होते थे। मुख्यमंत्री ने उम्मीद जताई, अब ऐसा संयंत्र लगने जा रहा है, जिससे कूड़े से चारकोल और सीएनजी का उत्पादन होगा। एनटीपीसी के इस संयंत्र से नगर निगम 25 वर्षों में 600 करोड़ रुपये की बचत कर सकेगा। इस धनराशि का इस्तेमाल विकास के कार्यों में होगा। उन्होंने कहा कि 500 टन प्रतिदिन कूड़े की जरूरत वाले इस संयंत्र से नगर निगम के साथ ही जिले की तमाम नगर पंचायतों के कूड़े का भी समुचित निस्तारण हो जाएगा।
योगी ने सभी नागरिकों को नवरात्रि की शुभकामनाएं दीं और विकास की सोच के साथ आगे बढ़ने का आह्वान किया। समारोह में उन्होंने नारी शक्ति का भी सम्मान किया। मिशन शक्ति के तहत मुख्यमंत्री के हाथों सम्मानित होने वाली 10 महिलाओं ने स्वच्छता समेत अन्य क्षेत्रों में उत्कृष्ट कार्य किया है। कार्यक्रम स्थल पर योगी ने नन्हे-मुन्ने बच्चों का अन्नप्राशन कराया। उन्होंने बच्चों को खूब दुलारा और आशीर्वाद देकर उनके स्वस्थ एवं उज्ज्वल भविष्य की कामना की।
