ई-वीजा धारक अब पोर्ट ब्लेयर के माध्यम से अंडमान और निकोबार द्वीप में प्रवेश कर सकते हैं
नई दिल्ली: गृह मंत्रालय द्वारा एक महत्वपूर्ण नीति बदलाव के बाद अंडमान और निकोबार द्वीप समूह पर्यटन बढ़ने के कगार पर है। ई-वीजा वाले विदेशी नागरिकों को पोर्ट ब्लेयर बंदरगाह के माध्यम से प्रवेश की अनुमति देने के लिए एक एकीकृत चेक पोस्ट (आईसीपी) को मंजूरी दी गई है। इस कदम का उद्देश्य द्वीपों को एक शीर्ष वैश्विक पर्यटन स्थल के रूप में स्थापित करना है और यह एक व्यापक पहल का हिस्सा है जिसमें पांच अन्य प्रमुख भारतीय बंदरगाह शामिल हैं: मुंबई, न्यू मैंगलोर, कोचीन, मोर्मुगाओ और चेन्नई।
पर्यटन सचिव विश्वेंद्र ने अक्टूबर से मई तक नौका चार्टर के लिए प्रमुख अवधि पर जोर दिया, जो द्वीपों के आश्चर्यजनक समुद्र तटों और लैगून की खोज के लिए आदर्श शांत समुद्र प्रदान करता है। इन महीनों के दौरान उष्णकटिबंधीय जलवायु नौका पर्यटन के आकर्षण को बढ़ाती है, जो आगंतुकों के लिए एक प्रमुख आकर्षण है।
