नई दिल्ली: भारतीय शटलर मदीप कौर ने पेरिस पैरालिंपिक्स में महिलाओं के सिंगल्स SL3 श्रेणी के क्वार्टरफाइनल में प्रवेश कर लिया है। शनिवार को, मदीप ने ऑस्ट्रेलिया की विनोट सेलीन ऑरेली पर 21-23, 21-10, 21-17 से जीत हासिल की, जिससे वह नॉकआउट चरण में पहुंच गईं। इससे पहले उन्होंने नाइजीरिया की बोलाजी मरीअम से हार का सामना किया था। इसके बावजूद, मदीप ने ग्रुप B में दूसरा स्थान हासिल किया और क्वार्टरफाइनल के लिए अपनी जगह पक्की की। बोलाजी मरीअम ने ग्रुप को टॉप किया और सीधे सेमीफाइनल में प्रवेश कर गईं, साथ ही ग्रुप A और C के विजेता भी सेमीफाइनल में पहुंचे। सेमीफाइनल की बाकी दो जगहों के लिए ग्रुप B के दूसरे स्थान प्राप्त करने वाले खिलाड़ी और ग्रुप A और C के दूसरे स्थान प्राप्त करने वाले खिलाड़ी मुकाबला करेंगे।

शनिवार को, भारतीय खिलाड़ी नितेश कुमार, कृष्णा नगर, मनोज सरकार, सुकांत कादम, सिवराजन सोलाइमलई और तरुण विभिन्न पुरुष सिंगल्स प्रतियोगिताओं में प्रतिस्पर्धा करेंगे, जबकि मनीषा रामदास और निथ्या सिवन सुमथी महिलाओं के सिंगल्स में चुनौती पेश करेंगी।
