सिंगापुर ने आने वाले यात्रियों में एमपॉक्स के लक्षणों की जांच शुरू की
नई दिल्ली: स्वीडन और थाईलैंड में वायरस के संभावित रूप से अधिक गंभीर संस्करण की रिपोर्ट के बाद सिंगापुर एमपॉक्स (मंकीपॉक्स) के खिलाफ एहतियाती उपाय के रूप में चांगी और सेलेटर हवाई अड्डों पर तापमान और दृश्य जांच लागू करेगा। यह कदम इनमें से प्रत्येक देश में इस वैरिएंट का एक पुष्ट मामला सामने आने के बाद आया है, जिससे सिंगापुर के अधिकारियों को संक्रामक बीमारी के खिलाफ अपनी सुरक्षा मजबूत करने के लिए प्रेरित किया गया है।
हवाई अड्डों पर स्क्रीनिंग में आने वाले यात्रियों को बुखार और एमपॉक्स के संकेत देने वाले अन्य दृश्य लक्षणों की निगरानी करना शामिल होगा। यह कदम सिंगापुर की सीमाओं पर निगरानी क्षमताओं को बढ़ाने के व्यापक प्रयास का हिस्सा है। स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय (एमओएच), परिवहन मंत्रालय और आव्रजन और चेकप्वाइंट प्राधिकरण ने संयुक्त रूप से देश के भीतर वायरस के प्रसार को रोकने के लिए सरकार की प्रतिबद्धता को रेखांकित करते हुए इन उपायों की घोषणा की है।
हवाई अड्डों पर स्क्रीनिंग के अलावा, समुद्री चौकियों पर भी इसी तरह के प्रोटोकॉल पेश किए जाएंगे। एमपॉक्स से प्रभावित क्षेत्रों से जहाजों पर आने वाले चालक दल के सदस्यों और यात्रियों को भी तापमान और दृश्य लक्षण जांच से गुजरना होगा। इन उपायों का उद्देश्य यह सुनिश्चित करना है कि एमपॉक्स के किसी भी संभावित मामले की पहचान की जाए और तुरंत उसका प्रबंधन किया जाए, जिससे स्थानीय आबादी में वायरस के प्रवेश का खतरा कम हो सके।
सिंगापुर का सक्रिय दृष्टिकोण उस गंभीरता को दर्शाता है जिसके साथ वह संक्रामक रोगों के खतरे को देखता है, विशेष रूप से एमपॉक्स मामलों में वैश्विक वृद्धि के आलोक में। सार्वजनिक स्वास्थ्य की सुरक्षा और देश के भीतर एमपॉक्स के प्रसार को रोकने के लिए जब तक आवश्यक होगा, सीमा पर स्क्रीनिंग के बढ़ाए गए उपाय लागू रहेंगे।
