कोलकाता के डॉक्टर बलात्कार और हत्या के विरोध में अंडमान में स्वास्थ्यकर्मी एकजुट हुए
नई दिल्ली: अंडमान और निकोबार द्वीप समूह के 2,000 से अधिक स्वास्थ्य कर्मियों ने कोलकाता के एक अस्पताल में एक साथी डॉक्टर के साथ हुए भयावह बलात्कार और हत्या के विरोध में शनिवार को 24 घंटे की एकजुटता का जोरदार प्रदर्शन करते हुए हड़ताल शुरू की। इंडियन मेडिकल एसोसिएशन (आईएमए) द्वारा आयोजित विरोध प्रदर्शन ने पूरे द्वीपों में स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं को काफी हद तक बाधित कर दिया है।
इस हड़ताल में डॉक्टरों, नर्सों, तकनीशियनों और मेडिकल छात्रों सहित स्वास्थ्य देखभाल पेशेवरों की एक विस्तृत श्रृंखला शामिल है, जो इस क्रूर अपराध की निंदा करने के लिए एकजुट हुए हैं। कोलकाता में हुई दुखद घटना ने चिकित्सा समुदाय को सदमे में डाल दिया है, जिससे सुदूर अंडमान और निकोबार द्वीप समूह में बड़े पैमाने पर विरोध प्रदर्शन शुरू हो गया है।
आईएमए के अंडमान और निकोबार चैप्टर के अध्यक्ष डॉ. आर तुलसी दासन ने कहा, “हम कोलकाता में हुई घटना की कड़ी निंदा करते हैं। सुबह से 2,000 से अधिक स्वास्थ्य कर्मचारी 24 घंटे की इस हड़ताल में शामिल हुए हैं।” उन्होंने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि विरोध इस तरह के हिंसक तरीके से एक सहकर्मी की मौत पर स्वास्थ्य देखभाल समुदाय द्वारा महसूस किए गए गहरे आक्रोश और दुःख की प्रतिक्रिया है।
डॉ. दासन ने जनता को आश्वासन दिया कि अगली सुबह सामान्य चिकित्सा सेवाएं फिर से शुरू हो जाएंगी। हालाँकि, हड़ताल ने पूरे द्वीपों में स्वास्थ्य सेवा वितरण को अस्थायी रूप से प्रभावित किया है, विरोध अवधि के दौरान केवल आपातकालीन सेवाएं ही जारी रखी गईं।
आईएमए और अन्य स्वास्थ्य सेवा संघ इस विरोध प्रदर्शन का उपयोग पीड़ित के लिए न्याय की मांग करने और भारत में स्वास्थ्य पेशेवरों द्वारा सामना की जाने वाली सुरक्षा चिंताओं के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाने के लिए कर रहे हैं। इस घटना ने चिकित्सा क्षेत्र में काम करने वालों के लिए मजबूत सुरक्षात्मक उपायों की तत्काल आवश्यकता पर प्रकाश डाला है।
