अहमदाबाद: आज जारी हुए जे.डी. पॉवर 2023 इंडिया इनिशियल क्वालिटी स्टडी (आईक्यूएस) के आँकड़ों के मुताबिक़ भारत में नए वाहन मालिकों डिज़ाइन और कमियों से संबंधित समस्याओं का लगभग समान रूप से उल्लेख किया गया। ये आँकड़े पिछले वर्षों के मुक़ाबले अलग हैं, जिनमें डिज़ाइन-संबंधी समस्याओं का ज़्यादा उल्लेख किया जाता था। जे.डी. पॉवर ने 2022 में नीलसन आईक्यू के साथ साझेदारी में इंडिया इनिशियल क्वालिटी स्टडी फिर से शुरू की है।
इनिशियल क्वालिटी (प्रारंभिक गुणवत्ता) को स्वामित्व के पहले महीने से लेकर छठवें महीने तक प्रति 100 वाहनों (पीपी100) में अनुभव की गई समस्याओं की संख्या द्वारा मापा जाता है, जिसमें कम स्कोर उच्च गुणवत्ता को दर्शाता है। इस वर्ष के अध्ययन में, उद्योग का औसत 122 पीपी100 है, जिसमें 2022 से कोई परिवर्तन नहीं हुआ।
नील्सनआईक्यू में ऑटोमोटिव प्रैक्टिस इंडिया के लीड, श्री संदीप पांडे ने कहा, “जहाँ कमियों के मामले हर साल बढ़ रहे हैं, वहीं डिज़ाइन संबंधी समस्याएँ सर्वोच्च 10 में से सात के लिए जिम्मेदार हैं। उन्होंने कहा, “ये निर्माताओं को सुधार के स्पष्ट अवसर प्रदान कर रही हैं”।

ज़्यादा युवा लोगों को संतुष्ट करना मुश्किल है: 30 साल और उससे कम उम्र के लोगों को अपने नए वाहन में ज़्यादा समस्याएं महसूस होती हैं। इस आयु वर्ग का औसत 136 पीपी100 है, जो उद्योग के औसत से 14 पीपी100 अधिक है।
पहली बार वाहन खरीदने वाले ज्यादा समस्याओं का हवाला देते हैं: पहली बार नए वाहन खरीदने वाले दोबारा खरीदने वालों के मुक़ाबले नए वाहन के साथ काफ़ी ज़्यादा समस्याएं बताते हैं (क्रमशः 131 पीपी100 बनाम 108 पीपी100)।

2023 के अध्ययन में 7,198 नए वाहन मालिकों के अनुभव प्राप्त किए गए, जिन्होंने जनवरी से अक्टूबर 2023 के बीच अपना वाहन खरीदा था। यह अध्ययन जुलाई से नवंबर 2023 के बीच किया गया। नीलसन आईक्यू ने भारत के 25 मुख्य शहरों में फेस-टू-फेस सर्वे किया, और वाहन मालिकों से वाहन ख़रीदने के बाद शुरुआती महीनों में वाहन के अनुभव को लेकर 200 से अधिक सवाल पूछे। सर्वे के बाद उनके जवाबों को डेटा की गुणवत्ता के लिए साफ किया गया और उनकी गणना की गई। फिर इस अध्ययन में शामिल ब्रांडों को प्रति 100 वाहनों के लिए समस्याओं के कुल स्कोर के अनुसार रैंक दी गई, जिसमें कम स्कोर बेहतर गुणवत्ता का संकेत देता है।
